Watch: Comic Relief: Outnumbered sketch
The BBC has shared some new photos from the upcoming Outnumbered Christmas special.
After eight years off screen, the Brockman family will return in a 2024 festive episode, which will be available to watch on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 9.40pm on December 26.
A set of first-look stills from the episode show Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner back in action as Brockman parents Pete and Sue, along with Tyger Drew-Honey, Daniel Roche and Ramona Marquez as their now grown-up children Jake, Ben and Karen.
“In a moment of adversity, Sue and Pete gather all their offspring (including one grandchild) to try and celebrate a traditional family Christmas,” reads the episode’s offical synopsis.
“But fate, neighbours, hyenas and bus replacement services get in their way.”

When the special was announced in May, Hugh Dennis also teased: “Pete and Sue have downsized, the children are no longer children, but I’m sure family life will prove to be just as chaotic as ever.”
The Brockmans were last seen in the 2016 Christmas special, two years after the show came to an end.
Recently addressing the likelihood of Outnumbered getting a full-on revival, Tyger Drew-Honey told Radio Times: “I mean, yeah, it’s entirely within the realms of possibility. There’s no reason why we shouldn’t… Never say never.”
The actor’s on-screen sister Ramona Marquez also seemed hopeful, adding: “It’d just be a slightly different kind of show… But those things do happen, don’t they? They come back after a while, so we would be up for it.”
