Emmerdale‘s Cain Dingle has been cut off by his wife Moira as she prepares to undergo radiotherapy treatment.
Cain was left upset in Wednesday’s episode after Moira forced him to face the consequences of letting her down when she needed him the most.
Earlier this week, Cain deliberately avoided Moira’s important appointment at the hospital. Moira was due to receive her pathology results after recently undergoing an operation to remove a brain tumour.
Cain eventually had second thoughts and rushed to be at Moira’s side, but he got himself arrested due to erratic and aggressive behaviour on the journey.
In the latest episode, Cain was released following a night in a cell at the police station. PC Swirling and his colleagues decided to let Cain off with a warning, recognising the pressure that he’s currently under.
Sadly, Cain continued to make poor choices by getting drunk at The Woolpack and hiding out at the allotments rather than returning home to face Moira.
Once Cain finally did make an appearance, he seriously considered making a confession over his recent disastrous decision to sleep with his sister-in-law Ruby Fox Miligan.
Just when it seemed like Cain would come clean, he was stopped in his tracks as Moira explained that she needed radiotherapy to limit the chances of a tumour returning.

Recalling the meeting at the hospital, Moira explained: “There was lots of information, which is why I wanted you there.
“I can’t trust you, Cain. I never want to be in that position ever again – wasting my precious energy on second-guessing where you are. So I won’t be relying on you, because I have learned my lesson. Whatever treatment’s coming my way, I’m going to be facing it alone.”
Will Moira stick by her decision to turn her back on Cain?
